A Global Language or World languages is a language which is learned my many people as second language spoken world wide. It’s use in many international companies and organizations like UNDP, UNESCO, SAARC, Commonwealth and many others. Now a day the world is known as a Global Vilage. So in this vilage all we are strongly connected and our activities are interrelated with everyone. So anything we want to do we need co-operation. But all we are from different country and languages of the world is different between two countries. So how we can communicate with each others?
A simple solution for the problem is Global Language or World Languages. English Language is a Global Language. It’s a accepted medium to all over the world.
To be a global language or world languages, one language should have some specific properties: They are following:
1. A huge number of speakers
2. A substantial fraction of non-native speakers
3. Official status in several countries
4. A linguistic community not defined strictly along ethnic lines
5. One or more standard registers which are widely taught as a foreign language
6. Association with linguistic prestige
7. Use in international trade relations
8. Use in international organizations
9. Use in the academic Institutions and forums
10. Important body of literature
As a Global Language or World languages English language has all of the above properties or qualification. That’s why English language is global language.
Everything we want to do in online we need to use English in 98% time. English as a world language, most of countries are using English as there second language.
